Um, Just So You Know...

I recently started the Mastering Manual class offered by Big Picture Classes. The first assignment was an exercise that showed how the ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture work together. First, set your camera to the P setting (this setting is the step up from the Auto setting), set your ISO to 400 and take a picture of the same subject in atleast 5 different lighting settings.

Living room, next to the window with the lights on, shutter speed: 1/25 aperture: 5.6
Living room, next to window, lights off, shutter speed:1/25 aperture: 5.6
In the library, lights off, shades closed shutter speed: 1/8 aperture: 5.6
Outside on the porch shutter speed: 1/250 aperture: 13
Upstairs in Mom's bathroom shutter speed:1/15 aperture: 5.6
